Dark Wings

Sweeney Todd

So, yesterday I went to see Sweeney Todd
What to say? Different from what I expected and different from Tim Burton's usual movies... I can't say if I liked it or I didn't... it was bloody, that's the right word. Bloody, dark and quite twisted; and while I expected that (being the main character a barber who cuts his clients' throats), it was more violent than I through.
The actors were supreme, sometimes Johnny Depp did a gesture that reminded me of Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean), Helena Bonham Carter was very into the role and Alan Rickman (while he reminded me of Snape - Harry Potter) was a wonderful villain.
However, it was the story that sometimes was too rushed and didn't make sense...
Also, usually in Tim Burton's movies I like the songs (The Nightmare before Christmas, Corpse Bride), instead in this one I was often annoyed by them... too many songs in a movie that didn't require any: at least, that's my opinion.

So, I'm perplexed and even a bit disappointed... I didn't not like it, but I didn't like it at the same time...

The End

YES, IT'S FINALLY OVER!
Yesterday I did my last exam and I'm so happy! I can finally relax and concentrate on writing a new two-shot fanfiction (Naruto - SasuSaku).

I'm simply ecstatic because, even if I did only three exams, they all went well and I got very high grades. Yesterday I woke up at 5 am (after a NOT so good night of sleep...) to go through my notes and then after the exam (at 1 pm) and a quick lunch I went home: I was exhausted and only wanted to sleep, ahahah.

This Saturday I'm going to see "Sweeney Todd", since in Italy it's coming out in the cinemas this weekend: I simply can't wait, I adore both Johnny Depp and Tim Burton (I love all his movies! "The Nightmare Before Christmas" is one of my favourite movies of all times!).

But for now I'll just rest... Lessons are starting next week, sigh...
